Want both AI Support Chat / Tutor and AI Feedback in Canvas as floating buttons?
Canvas Theme Editor accepts one JavaScript file. We have a guide for AI Support Chat / Tutor across Canvas, and another for AI Feedback in SpeedGrader. If you want both as floating buttons, this page builds that single file for you — each with its own assistant.
AI Support Chat / Tutor
The Canvas publishing guide: a floating button on courses, dashboards, and tutoring.
AI Feedback
The AI Feedback guide: a floating button in SpeedGrader while instructors grade, using a separate assistant.
Your Canvas file
Add both assistant IDs to unlock download and copy.
- Add — AI Support Chat / Tutor
- Add — AI Feedback assistant
- Added — Region
Assistant IDs stay in this browser tab. This page does not send them to LearnWise, save them, or put them in the address bar.
// Your Canvas file will appear here
// Add AI Support Chat / Tutor, AI Feedback, and your regionAdd the file in Canvas
Same Theme Editor steps as publishing an assistant into Canvas and adding AI Feedback — with one combined file.
- Sign in to Canvas as an admin.
- Go to Admin → Themes and open your theme, or create one.
- Open Upload and choose JavaScript File.
- Upload learnwise-canvas.js and save the theme.
If a LearnWise JavaScript file is already in your theme, replace it with this one so AI Support Chat / Tutor and AI Feedback stay together. Course connections, API keys, and feedback toggles still happen in the LearnWise dashboard, as those guides describe.
Need a hand finding assistant IDs or your region? They’re on the landing page of your LearnWise dashboard, or your LearnWise contact can share them. For everything after the JavaScript file, stay with the Canvas publishing and AI Feedback guides.
